GEORGE SIGLER, Chief Financial Officer
As Chief Financial Officer, Sigler is responsible for the financial operations of Permlight Products, inc. and its associated brands, including corporate accounting, reporting, risk management and strategic planning for growth opportunities and expansion.
For more than 26 years Sigler has worked as a CFO, heading financial operations for a variety of industries. Sigler joined IG technologies in 1983 as CFO and Treasurer. In 1989 he broadened his industry experience by joining Urschel Laboratories, a privately held food processing equipment manufacturer with annual sales of $75 million, as Controller, and was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Urschel Laboratories in 1994. In 2000, Sigler was recruited to serve as the first CFO for Enkeboll Designs, a leading high-end manufacturer of architectural wood elements with annual sales of $35 million.
Sigler holds a certificate for the Executive Program from University of Virginia, Darden School of Management, a Master of Business Administration from California State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University.
FERNANDO LYNCH, VP Brand Management
With over 25 years of experience in senior level sales and management, Lynch oversees the strategy and vision of the Brillia brand. Together with the Permlight executive team, he determines the opportunities the company will pursue and which products to develop. In addition, he works with Keddington to identify profit and sales objectives, and is a member of the company’s board of directors.
Since 1981, Lynch has held various positions in sales,
manufacturing and management of power diodes and also national
lighting maintenance programs.
He has three published patents on power
packaging for thermal management of diodes.
Lynch began his career as an account manager in sales at Solid
State Devices, Inc. (SSDI), eventually graduating to plant
manager running the Production, Engineering and Quality Control
departments. His expertise in thermal management, heatsinks and
dissipation with minimum space allowed him to effectively
provide high-level customer service to NASA, Boeing, Martin
Marietta, RCA, GE and Lockheed Martin. In 1995 he progressed to
Microsemi (MSCC), where he started the Power Module Group
serving the same aerospace customers and also the implantable
and audio medical electronics market. Lynch spearheaded new
materials research, project and product management, patent
design and writing, and custom product design for medical
customers such as Guidant, Medtronic, St. Jude, Biotronic,
Siemens and more.
Prior to joining Permlight in 2005, Lynch served as sales
manager at Sunset Lighting, where he handled national retail and
commercial accounts and oversaw lighting design installation,
retrofit projects, surveys, and energy payback calculations
for Disney, West Marine, Cheesecake Factory, BCBG, Union Bank
and several other national retail and banking chains.
Lynch’s responsiveness and proactive approach to customers and
suppliers, coupled with his enthusiasm for the Permlight product
line underscore his natural leadership abilities and carefully
planned approach to expanding the Permlight business.
Lynch targeted a pre-medicine degree and attended Oral Roberts
University and California State University, Fullerton.
Currently, Lynch and his wife reside in Orange, Calif., and he
has three grown adult children.
MICHAEL D. BREMSER, Chief Technology
Officer
With
more than 10 years of international and commercial experience in
the compound semiconductor industry, Bremser is responsible for
overseeing all of the company’s technological development,
including the monitoring and application of emerging
technologies. In addition, he evaluates customer needs, develops
products to meet those needs and selects projects that have the
potential to add value to Permlight and its customers.
Bremser began his career at AIXTRON, Inc., where he served as
senior process engineer for joint development projects with
various U.S. and Japanese manufacturers of lasers, LEDs and
solar cells before transitioning into a managerial role in the
company’s Field Services and Process Engineering departments.
Prior to joining Permlight for Signs, Bremser co-founded The
Compound Group to provide technical due-diligence advisory
services to venture capitalists and drive business development
for small companies within the compound semiconductor industry.
He then parlayed the position into a senior principal engineer
appointment with EMCORE Corp.
Since joining the Permlight team, Bremser has integrated
technology-based activities into the corporate strategy and
provided leadership for the selection of technologies with
marketplace advantages. He also provides high-level service to
customers, and assures continuous internal improvement by
setting goals, measuring progress and developing and maintaining
a customer-focused team.
He holds a graduate certificate in Project Management from
Stevens Institute of Technology, a doctorate in Materials
Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University and
a bachelor of science degree in Materials Science and
Engineering from Virginia Tech.
WILLIAM HAMM, Vice President of North American Sales
Hamm is responsible for managing all aspects of
Permlight for Signs™ sales, including managing and enhancing relationships with existing customers and establishing new partnerships with distributors, sign companies and major retail accounts.
Hamm joins Permlight for Signs from FRANCE, a division of the Scott Fetzer Company and a manufacturer of neon transformers and ballasts for the sign industry, where he served as director of sales and marketing and vice president of new product development. Prior to FRANCE, Hamm was president of ZAPI, Inc., a manufacturer of electronic speed controllers and associated products for battery-powered vehicles.
Hamm holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the International Sign Association (ISA), World Sign Associates (WSA), Mid South Sign Association, Canadian Sign Association, and the United States Sign Council. Hamm resides in Nashville, Tenn., with his family.
CHRIS PRIMOUS, Director of Sales/Business Development
Primous is responsible for driving the ongoing collaboration with original equipment manufacturers to bring Brillia LED-based luminaires to market.
Primous joins Brillia from ICF International, where he served as a senior project manager for one of the world’s largest environmental consulting organizations. At ICF, he managed the ENERGY STAR Residential Lighting Fixture (RLF) program as a consultant to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Primous has also worked with
multiple homebuilder, manufacturer, national retail and utility programs to expand the nationwide adoption of energy-efficient lighting. Primous also conducted numerous ENERGY STAR training and education sessions throughout the country and has been influential in developing technical specifications to allow manufacturers of LED-based residential light fixtures, ceiling fans and vent fans to achieve the ENERGY STAR qualification for their products.
Prior to ICF, Primous was product manager at Hubbell Lighting’s Progress Lighting division, the nation’s largest residential fixture manufacturer where he introduced the first package of LED-based light fixtures to the residential market. At Progress Lighting, he managed new product development and marketing for multiple product lines including recessed, landscape, track and fluorescent lighting. Additionally, he managed ENERGY STAR programs and new technology initiatives for Hubbell Lighting. During his time at Progress, Primous helped the company earn the prestigious “ENERGY STAR Manufacturing Partner of the Year” award and multiple IES Progress Report recognitions.
Primous holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the American Lighting Association (ALA), the NEMA/ALA Engineering Committee, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
He is a published author of many lighting-related articles and papers and holds one issued patent and two pending patents on lighting and related products. Primous resides in Washington, D.C.
